
Efforts in regard to compliance
We, Hofu Express Co., Ltd. and our related group companies have based our efforts on "customer service" to perform company activities. The activities manifest our mission to "Co-Exist with Society and Contribute to Society". and have had the compliance system which keeps quality management, occupational safety, environmental conservation promotion management, etc. in sight. Of course, they also take the compliance of law and company regulation very seriously.
Now company causes harm to the society, the company no longer continues to exist. To let companies perform a highly transparent corporate management following social norm and corporate ethics, building up "the compliance system" is our most important managerial foundation, as it tries to ensure "the compliance system" to produce further plentitude.
Standard of Conduct
We try to heighten our corporate value by maintaining our stockholders' empathy, and by developing our company business through better work environment and practice. We also establish the behavioral standards by which our executives and employees (our company, our related group company, and the companies under employment contract) abide and our different stockholders.
Compliance committee
The Compliance committee is the organization under the direct jurisdiction of our chief executive. It controls our group's compliance system, and intends to promote rooting, pervading, and consolidating the system.

Role
- This committee is established as a permanent organization to deal with each violation of our compliance and also to prevent scandals before they occur.
- This committee performs the operation related to our group's compliance as the consultative body of the Board.
- This committee places our chief executive in nomination as the chairperson, and consists of executives, regular employees, the representative of labor union and the members of outside our company to line up neutrality, transparency, and objectivity.
- If a serious violation of our compliance happens, this committee orders the related facilities to investigate, and it reviews the investigation report.
- This committee works out and develops preventative measures related the serious compliance violations, and informs the Board.
- This committee develops and reviews the plan of training and development related to compliance.
Compliance inquiry center
When our group is unable to make a decision on compliance troubles, and finds the violation a threat, the committee assumes an obligation for informing the supervisors or compliance inquiry center. As the inquiry center, we set "Compliance Inquiry Center."
Role
- If a violation of compliance happens at the department you belong to, as a general rule, you must inform your supervisor. However, in case you cannot inform your supervisor for any reason, and cannot perform a prompt or effective response, please use the Compliance Inquiry Center.
- To let you know the result of consideration, and prevent slander and aspersion to a person, as a general rule, you have to let us know your name and your department when you inform us or consult with us. Of course, it is possible for you to consult and inform us anonymously If you inform and consult anonymously, we might not undertake some measures or proceed with a proper investigation because we might not configure the affairs enough by the information you provide.
- In the case of a serious compliance violation the chairperson is notified immediately.
- We protect the privacy of the informers and treat them with utmost consideration.
We do not tell unauthorized people the name of the informer and the fact the informer let us know. If the informer is one of our group's executives and employees, the informer is not to be put at a disadvantage i.e. stern admonition, disciplinary punishment, realignment of personnel, distinction etc. Moreover, if the informer is from our cooperative companies and business partners, we instruct the relevant department and our group companies not to put the informer at a disadvantage. - As a company-wide compliance inquiry in our group, we established,
- the Compliance Inquiry Bureau, which the Administrative Manager is the head.
- the Compliance Inquiry which each has a department head.
The policy of personal information protection
Our company group thinks that the acknowledgement of the importance of our executives, employees, customers heightens social accountability and the other related companies' employees' personal information, and to protect and manage the information properly. When we handle personal information, we adhere rigidly to the law, legal imperatives, and regulation. We also nominate a personal information manager, and strive to manage safe control and take measures to prevent alteration, loss, and leaks of personal information.
